Forge Turbo Blankets for N54 BMW (1M, 135i, 335i)
The Forge Turbo Blankets for N54 BMW (1M, 135i, 335i) are specifically designed to isolate the radiant heat produced by the turbocharger. Developed by the Forge Motorsport team on their VW Golf MK1 Race car, these turbo blankets have exceeded all expectations and are designed to protect and prolong the life of engine components.
Featuring stainless steel rivets and fasteners, a carbon fabric outer shell, and a calcium magnesium silicate wool constructed inner core, these turbo blankets are built to withstand high temperatures. The high temperature silica fabric used in the design ensures that the heat of the exhaust gases is contained within the hot side of the turbocharger, keeping it away from the cool side and the intake path.
Not only do these turbo blankets assist in reducing turbo lag, but they also help produce cooler air intake temperatures. This results in more oxygen per unit volume reaching the engine, ultimately providing more power.
The interior surface of the turbo blanket has a maximum temperature rating of 2300°F/1260°C and a continuous use limit of 1832°F/1000°C. The exterior surface has a direct contact limit of 1800°F/982°C and a radiant heat limit of 2500°F/1371°C.
Once fitted, it is recommended not to routinely remove the turbo blanket as it may cause damage. The material will lose its flexibility over the first few heat cycles as it cures.
At Progressive Parts, we offer fitting services for this product at our performance workshop. Experience the benefits of the Forge Turbo Blankets for N54 BMW (1M, 135i, 335i) and protect your engine components while enhancing performance.
