We operate an international online store backed by a specialist, experienced workshop in Stockport, Greater Manchester.

We are currently recruiting for two positions. Please select the relevant opportunity below;

Summary

Position: Customer Support
Location: On site (SK4 1PQ)
Salary: £30,000 – £34,000 (based on experience)

The Position

As Customer Support & Parts Advisor at Progressive Parts, you be responsible for supporting our online customer base, both new and established, pre and post sale, via our current customer communication channel – CRM. The focus of this role is on fast and effective customer problem solving (technical, logistical and operational) with experience of delivering exceptional customer experience digitally. via a CRM.

This position is located at our Head Office (SK4 1PQ), remote working is unavailable.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day use of CRM as the primary medium of communication with customers within the business
  • Protecting the Progressive Parts brand as the first line of customer communication
  • Customer retention with a focus on sales and high levels of customer service and therefore satisfaction
  • Cultivating customer relationships where appropriate
  • Clearing customer support tickets and solving problems in a timely manner
  • Triaging and prioritising tickets, demonstrating commercial awareness and prioritising business needs alongside customer needs, while working to SLA guidelines
  • Ensure proactive follow up tasks with customers and/or team members to ensure effective resolutions have been achieved
  • Work closely with Fulfillment Specialist to ensure appropriate information is shared when needed with customers
  • Feedback any recurring issues relating to the website design or catalogue information to Catalogue Manager
  • Correctly advising on parts with a view to upselling and providing quotes where needed – invested proactive engagement with the customer to ensure they are getting full support, not just an answer to a question
  • Working with Catalogue Manager to understand new products, promotions and trends that will inform advisory and upselling processes
  • Engaging with internal communication and staying up to date with new offerings
  • Utilising AI tool to facilitate effective communication and or translation for languages that aren’t English
  • Attendance at appropriate commercial exhibitions or events on an ad hoc basis
  • Any additional management requests

Requirements

  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Proficient in usage of CRM systems
  • Previous experience in online retail, e-commerce or marketing and sales environment
  • Confident user of computers and Office programmes (Excel) or equivalent
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Proven track of providing exceptional customer service

Desirable

  • Knowledge and passion for performance vehicles and modification
  • Fraud prevention knowledge/experience

Position: Vehicle Technician
Location: On site (SK4 1PQ)
Salary: £35,000 – £42,000 (based on experience)

The Position

As a Vehicle Technician at Progressive Parts/VAGManchester, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality maintenance, repair and performance upgrades to customer vehicles. This role is ideal for someone passionate about modern combustion and EV systems, with a commitment to precision, reliability, and a drive to grow within the performance automotive industry. The successful candidate will become a vital part of our workshop team, supporting both our day-to-day servicing work and bespoke tuning projects.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out servicing and general maintenance across a range of performance vehicles
  • Performing repairs including cambelts, exhausts, tyres, suspension and braking systems
  • Supporting performance upgrade installations as needed
  • Accurately diagnosing faults using modern diagnostic tools
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and professional working environment
  • Collaborating closely with the Workshop Manager and wider team to ensure customer expectations are exceeded
  • Keeping up to date with new technologies, products and tuning trends relevant to the VAG and performance sector
  • Occasionally supporting social content production (vehicle features, behind-the-scenes workshop clips, etc.)
  • Undertaking any additional reasonable duties requested by the management team

Requirements

  • Relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in light vehicle maintenance and repair
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar workshop environment
  • Competence in diagnosing and resolving technical faults independently
  • Passion for performance vehicles and the aftermarket tuning industry
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail and a professional approach
  • A valid UK driving licence

Desirable

  • Experience working with VAG Group vehicles
  • Familiarity with vehicle performance upgrades (mapping, hardware installs, etc.)
  • Interest in automotive media and social content
  • EV system training or experience
