The Ramair JSK-121 Jetstream Air Intake Kit is a bolt-on induction upgrade for MQB platform vehicles fitted with the 2.0 TSI EA888 Gen 3 engine. It replaces the standard airbox with a high-flow performance filter and heat shield, improving airflow to the engine while giving a more noticeable induction sound under acceleration.

The kit is designed to fit directly to the factory mounting points without any cutting or modification, making it a straightforward upgrade for home mechanics and professionals alike.

What’s Included

• Jetstream Performance Baseplate Filter – A twin-layer, fully reticulated foam filter built around a stainless steel cage for structural support. The spun aluminium neck acts as a velocity stack, which helps guide airflow smoothly into the intake, reducing turbulence and improving flow. Quick-release fittings make removal, cleaning, and re-oiling simple.
• Heat Shield – Laser-cut and precision-folded, then powder-coated in black. It bolts directly to the standard OEM airbox mounting points and rubbers with no modification needed. The shield acts as a barrier between the filter and the warmer parts of the engine bay, helping to keep intake air temperatures down by directing cooler air from the factory cold air feed towards the filter.
• Full Fitting Kit – All nuts, bolts, hose clamps, and silicone hose connectors needed to complete the installation on a standard, unmodified car. Note that this kit does require the use of some components from the original intake pipe and airbox, so retain these when removing the factory setup.

Optional Silicone Intake Pipe

When selecting this kit, you can choose to add a single-piece silicone turbo intake pipe. Made from 5-ply polyester-reinforced silicone, it is built to handle high engine bay temperatures and provides a cleaner, more complete intake setup. Choose from Black, Blue, or Red to suit your preference, or select No Hose Required if you already have a suitable pipe or wish to retain your existing one.

The filter is MAF-safe – meaning it will not interfere with the Mass Air Flow sensor (the sensor that measures the amount of air entering the engine), which is an important consideration when choosing any aftermarket filter. Every fitting clip, bracket, and bolt needed for installation is included in the box.

Important: This kit requires the use of certain components from your original intake pipe and airbox during fitting. Do not discard these parts until you have read the fitting instructions in full.
