What it does
RSL 1E is an endurance racing compound. It delivers strong, stable braking over long stints. Expect confident bite when hot, excellent fade resistance, and smooth pedal modulation. It is designed to be kind to discs and last well under sustained high temperatures.
Best suited to
– Track and endurance events where consistency and wear life matter
– Heavier, high-power cars in GT and touring-style racing
– Drivers who want repeatable braking and predictable control over long runs
Not ideal for everyday road use. It needs heat to work at its best and can make more noise and dust than road pads.
Fitment

Bedding-in guidance
Bring the pads up to temperature with several medium stops. Increase brake pressure gradually until you feel a consistent pedal and smooth, even braking. Allow the brakes to cool before full race use.

In the words of the Vehicle Standards Agency (VCA), type approval provides "confirmation that production and samples of a design will meet specified performance standards".
For emissions components this encompasses noise, emissions and balanced back pressure, which have a strong influence on maintaining engine performance (power), and fuel efficiency. Type approval ensures that an aftermarket component will reach, or exceed the performance standard of the corresponding OE part.
Type-approval then, is a certain guarantee that an end user will receive a product of OE equivalent performance attributes.
