NGK Iridium IX Spark Plug – BR8EIX (Stock No. 5044)
This NGK Iridium IX plug uses a very fine iridium tip to produce a strong, stable spark. It helps cold starts, reduces misfires, and resists fouling, especially in engines that run hard or at high revs. It lasts longer than standard copper plugs thanks to the tough iridium centre electrode.
You may not see a big power gain, but you can expect smoother running and more consistent performance over time.
- Fine-wire iridium tip for reliable ignition and clean burn
- Resistor design to reduce electrical noise (helps protect ECU and sensors)
- Durable in high-heat, high-load use

Fitment Guidance
Commonly used in many two-stroke motorcycles, dirt bikes, quads/ATVs, snowmobiles, personal watercraft, and some high-performance small engines that specify an NGK BR8E-type plug. Use our vehicle lookup to confirm fitment, or check the Vehicle Fitment tab for full details.
Installation Notes
Do not over-tighten. Always check and set the gap to the vehicle maker’s spec. Install with a new gasket, on a cool engine, and torque correctly. NGK advises not to use anti-seize on new plugs.
