Eventuri Lotus Emira V6 Carbon Fibre Intake
Eventuri is proud to introduce its cold air intake system for the Lotus Emira V6 Supercharged. This intake is the culmination of extensive research, development, and testing, all focused on significantly improving the flow path of the stock system. Eventuri’s design represents a complete reimagining of the OEM airbox, with the primary goals of reducing resistance on the supercharger and maintaining low inlet air temperatures (IATs) during operation.
By utilizing Eventuri’s patented Venturi Housing, the airflow path achieves a much more direct and laminar flow compared to the cuboid OEM airbox. Furthermore, Eventuri’s custom-made EPDM hose features a far smoother internal surface than the stock hose, which notoriously includes large ridges along its curved section that inherently create turbulence. The Eventuri version allows for necessary engine movement while maintaining a smooth, curved section all the way to the throttle body. Finally, the carbon fiber duct effectively seals the filter housing and draws cold air from the OEM location, ensuring minimized IATs.
The Eventuri Difference
The Lotus Emira Eventuri system incorporates patented carbon fiber housings with bespoke Gen 2 filters, establishing an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter directly to the supercharger. This is not merely a cone filter paired with a heat shield; it’s a unique design that leverages the Venturi effect to maintain laminar flow conditions, thereby reducing drag on the supercharger.
The Eventuri Lotus Emira intake system comprises several meticulously engineered components, each fabricated to the highest standards to fulfill a specific purpose. Eventuri uses 100% pre-preg carbon fiber, entirely free of fiberglass, which enables the achievement of exceptionally smooth internal surfaces critical for maintaining optimal airflow.

Filter Housing Assembly
The filter housing integrates Eventuri’s bespoke generation 2 filter, an aluminum inlet cowl, and a stainless steel bracket. The carbon pod precisely shrouds the reverse-mounted filter, smoothly shaping the airflow down to the OEM turbo inlets. This design fundamentally alters the flow path from the OEM airbox, where air enters the base and must contend with sharp 90-degree corners, leading to stagnation. The Eventuri system offers a significantly more direct pathway, with airflow entering the front of the filter housing and progressing into the MAF tube section without abrupt direction changes. The result is a smoother path from the filter to the supercharger, allowing it to operate with less drag.
Bespoke Cone Filter
To achieve the highest possible flow rate, Eventuri utilizes a filter element that maximizes the use of available space within the engine bay. The filter medium is ISO tested to ensure filtration performance on par with OEM standards, and it operates dry. The filter is constructed with Eventuri’s signature flow cones, which further aid the Venturi housing principle.
Patented Technology
Eventuri’s patented filter housing features a smooth reduction in cross-sectional area as it shrouds the filter and tapers down to the tubing. This precise geometry invokes the Venturi effect, causing airflow to accelerate while maintaining laminar conditions. It functions effectively as a large velocity stack. Eventuri’s bespoke filters further assist airflow through the housings, ensuring an even velocity profile as air exits.
Carbon Duct
The filter housing is seamlessly sealed to Eventuri’s carbon air duct, which precisely locates into the OEM cold air feed behind the rear wing. This OEM air feed is an excellent source of cold air, and by sealing the duct to the filter housing, Eventuri ensures that inlet air temperatures remain minimized.
EPDM Flexible Hose
The final component in the intake system before the throttle body is the EPDM hose. This critical part accommodates engine movement and efficiently guides airflow from the filter housing to the throttle body. The OEM hose features a large convoluted section across its curved portion, causing turbulence as airflow navigates the curve and encounters internal ridges. Eventuri’s design eliminates these ridges across the curve, placing a smaller, flexible section in line with the filter housing where the path is straight. This allows for adequate flexibility for engine movement without impeding airflow. External ribs were also added to reinforce the hose’s structure.
Machined Hardware
OEM fitment is maintained through the use of precision-machined components. The coolant hose holder meticulously replicates the factory hose mount, ensuring hoses remain in their correct positions. The use of Delrin also protects these hoses from sharp corners and potential damage. Eventuri’s CNC-machined MAF sensor mount ensures the sensor functions to OEM specifications and remains securely mounted.
The complete Eventuri system integrates seamlessly to provide an intake solution that significantly improves upon the stock airbox in terms of performance, aesthetics, and sound.
